Romania to participate in Community training, education and youth programmes
The Association Council of the European Community and its Member States, and Romania has adopted a Decision concerning participation by Romanian entities in the Community's programmes in the field of training, education and youth. Under the Decision, which enters into force on 1 September 1997, Romanian organizations may participate in all actions of the LEONARDO DA VINCI, SOCRATES and YOUTH FOR EUROPE programmes, under the same terms and conditions as equivalent Community participants. Any activity involving Romanian participation will, however, be subject to minimum numbers of Community participants, to ensure that the Community dimension is maintained in all actions under the programmes. The Decision also lays down the financial contributions which Romania will make to the budgets of the three programmes.
