Europeans and modern biotechnology
The European Commission, DG XII, has published the first results of a Eurobarometer survey on "Europeans and modern biotechnology" conducted in October and November 1996. The report provides interesting information on a number of key questions relating to the attitude of Europeans to advances being made in the field of biotechnology and life sciences. The present report provides an initial analysis of the data collected. A more detailed report is currently in preparation by the group of scientific experts.
