Participation of Cyprus in Community education, training and youth programmes
The Council of the European Union has now formerly approved the bilateral agreements reached between the Community and Cyprus on Cyprus's participation in Community programmes in the field of education training and youth. The three agreements established in this field concern the participation of Cyprus in the LEONARDO DA VINCI, SOCRATES and Youth for Europe programmes. Under the terms of these agreements, Cypriot organizations will be allowed to participate in these programmes on the same terms as organizations from the EU. In order to ensure the Community dimension of the activities supported by these programmes, transnational projects proposed by Cyprus will, however, be required to include a minimum number of partners from the Member States of the EU.
