Eurohighway - Newsletter of Scotland/Northern Ireland MIDAS-NET node
"Eurohighway" is the title of the newsletter published by the Scotland/Northern Ireland MIDAS-NET node which informs SMEs and other organizations of the latest developments in multimedia-related fields. MIDAS-NET is the European network which aims to stimulate awareness of the benefits of multimedia content, and increase its usage. In particular, MIDAS-NET targets SMEs, which often experience difficulty in keeping up with new developments. MIDAS-NET consists of some 23 nodes in 17 European countries, and is supported by the European Community under the INFO2000 programme which is designed to stimulate the development and use of multimedia content in Europe. The "Eurohighway" newsletter provides an overview of regional, national and EU multimedia-related initiatives. The newsletter is available on the World Wide Web, and is circulated to some 10,000 companies in Scotland and Northern Ireland. The Web version includes hyperlinks to a range of relevant Web sites for further information. The Web site also contains information on training courses, calls for proposals and case studies illustrating successful uses of multimedia in business.
