THE IST PROGRAMME IN FRAMEWORK 6,Friday 25 October 2002 - Q.ton Forum, Cambridge Science Park, UK This workshop will explain the Commission's proposals for new mechanisms of research support which should come into effect towards the end of 2002. Integrated Projects and Networks of Excellence are the new instruments through which the Commission will channel research funding. This workshop will explore how these funding mechanisms will operate in practice. It will consist of lectures, practical exercises and feedback sessions, and provides lots of opportunities for questions and discussion. The workshop is intended for research managers and administrators who already have some knowledge of EU RTD Programmes ,CO-ORDINATING EC RESEARCH PROJECTS,Monday 28 October 2002 - St John's Innovation Centre, Cambridge, UK This workshop explains the administrative, organisational and contractual aspects of running an EC research project. The workshop will describe how the projects operate from a formal point of view, and compare the requirements of Framework 5 and Framework 6. It will consists of lectures, practical exercises and feedback sessions, and provides lots of opportunities for questions and discussion. The number of participants will be limited to a maximum of 25, to ensure everyone gets the chance to join in the debate. It is aimed at project coordinators and administrators assisting the research teams working on these projects.
