UK Launch of Sixth Framework Programme

Taking place on 28. November 2002, this event will be co-hosted by the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA), the Food Standards Agency (FSA), the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC) and the Natural Environment Research Council (NERC).,

This aim is to introduce all those from academia, industry, research institutes and government involved in research in agriculture, fisheries, food, forestry, environment and rural affairs to the opportunities offered by the new EU Framework Programme for RTD (FP6). Speakers will be looking particularly at thematic priority areas 1, 5, 6, and area 1.2.1 "Supporting policies and anticipating scientific and technological needs" ("8th Priority).
