Access to Cultural Heritage in the European Research Area:,Preparing for the first call of the 6th Framework Programme ,27th January 2003

Why?,In December 2002, the first call for proposals within the 6th Framework Programme for Research will be published. Preservation and enhancement of cultural heritage will be part of it. It will be addressed by the Strategic Objective Technology enhanced learning and access to cultural heritage.,In November 2002 we held a small information forum on this topic which was immediately oversubscribed. So we are offering a second event where we will be able to present the definitive workprogramme, procedures and future plans. What for?,This is a unique occasion in the process of building communities Who?,The event addresses the research community, ICT and software industry, SMEs, public organisations, our traditional sectors in Libraries, Museums and Archives, as well as players from related sectors. What?,- Information on the 6th Framework Programme, its new instruments, rules and requirements.,- Networking possibilities How?,- Presentations of various aspects of the new Framework Programme by Commission officials (no presentations from participants),- You want to find partners? We offer you the opportunity for a poster session.,- First-come first-served basis.
