Heidelberg Latin America Center

The Rector of the University of Heidelberg, Prof. Dr. Peter Hommelhoff, and the rectors of the Universidad Catolica and the Universidad de Chile signed further cooperation agreements in connection with medicine and law.

The Heidelberg Latin America Center is a postgraduate and continuing education centre of the University of Heidelberg in Santiago de Chile. It was established in 2001. Its purpose is to disseminate German research findings and teaching programmes in Latin America and,to provide young Latin American students with an opportunity of continuing their studies in Germany. The objective is to strengthen scholarly and scientific cooperation between Germany and Latin America.
