Proceedings of 'Pv in Europe: from PV Technology to Energy Solutions Conference',7-11 October 2002, Rome, Italy ,Hardcover ISBN 3-936338-12-4,CD-ROM ISBN 3-936338-13-2

The PV in Europe Conference and Exhibition was organised to review progress, and present and discuss the PV science technology and application for the future. This Conference, held in Rome, Italy, brought together more than 1250 participants from Europe and around the world, and provided an important and vital forum for information exchange in the photovoltaic solar energy field. The Conference Proceedings represent a significant update to the understanding in this increasingly important field of energy generation. They place on record a new phase of market development and scientific endeavour in the PV industry, representing a current and innovative thinking on all aspects of the science, technology, markets and business of photovoltaics. The Proceedings present some 350 papers selected for presentation by the Scientific Review and Session Organisers Committee of the PV in Europe Conference. ,The comprehensive range of topics covered comprise: · Exploratory Research on Solar Cell Materials and Structures,· Progress in Crystalline Silicon Cell Development and Manufacturing,· Thin-Film Cell Research, Development and Production,· Cells and Systems for Concentrators,· PV Module and System Engineering,· European PV Product- and System Standardisation, Certification and Marketing,· European PV Markets, Regulations and Financing,· European PV roof top Programmes, Performances, Architectural and Urban Planning Aspects, Lessons Learnt, Individual Cases, Comparison of Results,· The PV Market Changing Scale in the Mediterranean Countries and Emerging Economies,· Co-operation with Developing Countries, Village Power, Implementation of G8 Recommendations ,Proceedings of '12th European Conference and Technology Exhibition on Biomass for Energy, Industry and Climate Protection',17-21 June 2002 , Amsterdam, The Netherlands,Hardcover ISBN 88-900442-5-X,CD-ROM ISBN 88-900442-7-6 The European Conferences on Biomass for Energy, Industry and Climate Protection traditionally offered the opportunity for both reporting R&D results and discussing policies and strategies for future work. The 12th Conference in the series, held in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, has attracted participants from around the world. It provided guidelines for a generation of biomass researchers, developers and users. In two volumes, the Proceedings represent the challenge of providing the large number of oral and visual presentations and all what was accomplished at the Conference. The Proceedings contain over 400 papers selected for presentation by the Scientific Review and Session Organisers Committee. ,They cover a full range of topics including: · Biomass Resources,· Research and Development of Bioenergy Conversion Technology Systems,· Demonstration and Market Implementation of Bioenergy in the Heat and Electricity Sector,· Demonstration and Market Implementation of Bioenergy in the Transportation Sector ,· Combined Application of Biomass for Energy, Products and Climate Protection,· Strategy and Policy Issues ,· Biomass in the Developing World The Conference was jointly organised by:,ETA-Florence, Italy and WIP-Munich, GermanyFor more information on the events organised by ETA-Renewable Energies and the related publications visit: ,http://www.etaflorence.it ,or ,email: eta.fi@etaflorence.it
