ALTERNATIVE Project launches its web based decision support system to European SMEs.
The ALTERNATIVE project (http://www.alternative-project.org(opens in new window)) is a European Commission funded project whose main objective is to provide European SMEs with web based tools to assist them in understanding how ASP can help their business. ALTERNATIVE provides SMEs with on-line decision support tools to evaluate different ASP scenarios and services. Many factors are important when considering ASP, including financial and performance measures, as well as non-financial indicators. ALTERNATIVE provides the SME with a unique vendor-neutral knowledge base and on-line interaction to assist the outsourcing decision making process. ALTERNATIVE marks a watershed in ASP and outsourcing analysis techniques and the provision of tools for the small and medium sized enterprise.
