Auto-Oil II - Technical study on fuels technology
The European Commission, DG XVII, has published an invitation to tender for the completion of a technical study on fuels technology in support of the work of Working Group 3 (Fuels Technology) of the Auto-Oil II programme. The study will be required to assess the impact of changing automotive fuel specifications on: - Refinery sector compliance costs (European and regional); - Refinery CO2 emissions; - Other refinery products and the implications for regional crude supplies. In addition, an assessment is required of the availability, quality and cost of alternative fuels able to reduce vehicle emissions, including their impact on greenhouse gases.
