Biogas from waste and waste water treatment - Interactive multimedia CD-ROM
"Biogas from waste and waste water treatment" is the title of a new interactive multimedia CD-ROM produced by the LIOR European Economic Interest Grouping. The first in a new series of CD-ROMs on technologies and related solutions for the environment, "Biogas from waste and waste water treatment" aims to provide easy access to a wide range of information for both sector experts and general interest users. The CD-ROM features over 4,800 fully illustrated, user-friendly screens presenting encyclopaedic, general and technical information. It includes: a complete range of example case studies; an international directory of the sector; a media gallery (videos, photographs, drawings, animations and graphs); a directory of relevant publications; EU Directives and programmes; conversions, formulae and symbols; and a thesaurus/glossary in seven languages. Other titles foreseen in the LIOR CD-ROM collection include: "Solar bioclimactic architecture", Biomass combustion", "Composting", "Rational use of energy in transport" and "Wind energy technologies". The LIOR CD-ROM Collection is supported by DG XVII of the European Commission within the framework of the Community's specific RTD programme in the field of non-nuclear energy (JOULE/THERMIE).
