Nutrition and Health 2020
The project will explore how the nutrition and health trend could shape the business and regulatory environment in the next few decades. Based on the interactive scenario planning methodology, it enables a large number of stakeholders to jointly learn about the deeper drivers behind this systemic change process. The project will bring together food, retail, ingredient, pharmacy, biotechnology, micro-electronic and insurance industries as well as representatives from society such as regulators, scientists, medical professionals and consumer interest groups.
The aim of the project is to build a set of future scenarios reflecting how a wide range of driving forces may interact to arrive at a new set of values and opinions about the role of nutrition & health. This will provide a deeper insight into possible answers to questions currently raised by the industry: how will food and health products transform the future business and regulatory environment and what opportunities for economic and societal value creation will exist in the future?
Participants to the project will discover a comprehensive planning context for strategic decision making. It is also a great opportunity to network with different industries that are also confronted with the nutrition and health trend and to find out how they view risks and opportunities.
Bio-Sense and WS plan to start the process in September 2003 and currently invite interested parties.
The project will be presented and discussed at a briefing session on Friday June 27th, 10:00 am at the facilities of the Swedish Management Institute, 31 Place de Brouckère, 1000 Brussels. Everyone interested to learn more about Nutrition & Health 2020 is invited.
