Workshop: Winning Framework Six Bids
WINNING FRAMEWORK SIX BIDS - Tuesday 20 January 2004
As the results of the first Framework Six Calls emerge, what lessons are there for those bidding in 2004? What is the right size for an Integrated Project? Is the Network of Excellence concept any clearer? If SMEs and proposers from Candidate States are included in a consortium, does it increase the chances of success?
Five out of six Framework Six bids fail. In many cases, this results from poor choice of subject or consortium structure. In others, proposers have underestimated the time and effort required to launch a successful bid. This workshop explains how to design a proposal to give it a good chance of success. It describes the factors to be taken into account when deciding the topic of the bid, and how to build a consortium. The workshop includes the results of recent research on how successful bidders prepared their proposals.
Participants should have some basic knowledge of Framework Six, for example from national or Commission Information Days. This event is ideal preparation for the Proposal writing for Framework Six workshop (10 February 2004), which explains how to communicate your proposal to the Commission and its evaluators.
