International Health Film Festival "ImageSante" March 2004

Within the framework of IMAGESANTE, a meeting place for the general public and professionals (in health, education and audiovisual matters) will be set up. Since 1994, the Festival has succeeded in meeting the audacious ambition of reaching an increasingly broad and eclectic audience with a rich and varied programme of quality films. Over the years (the festival takes place every two years), the organisers have been delighted at the interest shown in this type of event by general practitioners, specialists, paramedics, the general public and young people.
The main objective is to promote health education and information through any audio-visual means by creating, in Belgium, a truly international forum for professionals from the worlds of medical and scientific research, cinema, industry, information technology, etc. For the sixth edition, the accent will be on information: informing a wide audience about themes that affect them directly; informing and educating young people through schools about themes chosen with and for them.
Another objective of the festival is to present current developments in the field of new media, medical computing (CD-ROM, Internet, Tele-medicine) and image processing in general.
The best films will be projected during the Festival and evaluated by an international Jury.
