European meeting about the concept of "la cite des metiers" in Genova (Italy) on 11 May 2004

The "Cité des Métiers" enables visitors of every age, level of qualification and region to choose a sector, find a job, change their career, start their own business or find a training course. Anonymously and without appointment, the public as a whole can talk to advisors, freely consult multimedia or written resources and meet professionals at regular events. The area for information and advice on working life created within the Paris - La Villette Cité des Sciences et de l'Industrie - in 1993 has inspired other experiments that have now been "quality-labelled". Several of these now exist in France and other countries and have recently formed a network.
