INSME Association: call for application open for the INSME Award First Edition

The INSME Association launches a call for applications for the first edition of its award, the main theme is "Innovation for Success: Locally adopted, Globally replicable". The call is open until November 5, 2004.

In a world where international competition for SMEs is increasing, innovation is a key factor to stimulate growth in all economic sectors. The promotion of innovation through initiatives aimed at improving the visibility of innovation leaders, is part of the INSME's mission. The INSME Award-First Edition is in line with this goal.
The INSME Award http://www.insme.info/page.asp?page=public_award(se abrirá en una nueva ventana) is an international prize given out bi-annually in order to acknowledge the success or the importance of activities and initiatives at international, regional, national or sub-national level undertaken by public and private intermediaries (or related networks) promoting innovation and technology transfer to SMEs.
"Innovation for success: Locally adopted, Globally replicable" is the topic for the 2005 Award edition. It calls for applications presenting business models, initiatives, programmes or projects which, though implemented on a reduced scale, can be scaled up and/or reapplied in other geographical contexts or different industrial sectors.
The main benefit winners will gain will be the high visibility the INSME Association will offer by inviting them to present their project to the Association's Members at the prize-giving event and spreading information through channels made available by the network (web sites, bulletins, newsletter, newspapers, etc.). Winners will also be entitled to the use of the INSME Award logo on their documents and website for two years. Moreover, if they are not already INSME Members, they will be rewarded also with a 12-months free INSME membership, starting from the month following the assignment of the Award.
