The Innovation Relay Centre for France Centr'Est has launched a call for participation in a technological meeting to be held in Dijon, France, on 23 September 1998. The meeting will focus on "New technologies applied to logistics and traceability" (NITEL).

The organizers are currently looking for industrialists or researchers working on information technologies with applications in the following areas:

- Coding, such as bar codes or electronic labels;
- Acquisition and reading;
- Communication/real-time;
- Freight data exchange via the Internet;
- Networks (satellite, GSM);
- Telediagnosis/navigation and driving aids;
- Software applications, such as vehicle storage or driver rotation;
- Equipment such as scanners and high resolution printers.

The technology meeting aims to provide a forum to foster exchanges and encourage cooperation between European industrialists and researchers. The meeting will also provide companies with the opportunity to present their work and meet potential buyers.

Submissions should include a brief presentation of the activities of the organization and a clear description of the technology offered.
