The course describes the relevance of the Sixth Framework programme to EU policies, the common problems in proposal writing and the success criteria for proposals. It also provides tips on how to collect information, how to select strategic partners and how to avoid duplication in proposal writing and describes a strategy for proposal writing.
The aim of this course is to train staff in writing professional and competitive proposals for the Sixth Framework Programme.
The following topics will be covered:,- Background to the Sixth Framework Programme,- The Research Priorities and Horizontal Programmes,- The Research Programmes and the New Instruments,- EU R&D Programme Rules and Terminology,- How Proposals are Evaluated,- Selecting Partners,- Strategy for Writing Proposals,- State of the Art,- How to Write the Project Management Part,- How to Write the Economic Relevance,- How to Write the Social Relevance,- How to Explain the Relevance to EU Policy,- Getting Ready for FP 7.
The course is designed for Research Managers and Administrators and all other staff responsible for or involved in writing proposals or management and administration of EU R&D contracts.
