Many scientific projects are very complex and require a special know-how. People involved in complex projects must have a good understanding and knowledge of the state-of-the-art project management and coordination methodologies.
The following topics will be covered:
- Special requirements of complex projects: Examples from R&D projects,- Definition of project goals,- Importance of feasibility studies,- Project life cycle of R&D projects,- Importance of project reviews,- Project management & coordination tools,- Project Management Office (PMO)
The course is designed for research managers and administrators, scientists, engineers, technical and administrative staff involved in projects. The aim is to provide the necessary knowledge and skills of risk management as required by project managers and project staff of complex projects.
