European Conference "Energy-Forum: Towards a new Energy Culture

ENERGY FORUM is a project leaded by Foundation "Navarran Environmental Resource Centre (CRAN), in collaboration with the Institute for Energy Diversification and Efficiency (IDAE), aimed at organising the European Conference "Energy-Forum: Towards a new Energy Culture, that will dealt with promotion of energy and environmental technologies applied to better use of energy (energy saving and efficiency) within the Union.
This conference will be hold in Pamplona (España) between 15-17 June, 2005, and the project has been co-funded by Directorate General of Transport and Energy (DG TREN) of the European Commission. The project is also sponsored by the regional Government of Navarra.
The main objective of the conference is to develop a common reflection on the role of energy technologies in the management of energy policies that seek to promote energy saving and efficiency as key factors in combating CO2 emissions and climatic change, bringing together the different European entities interested in their divulgation: public administrations, sectorial and industrial associations, intermediate institutions, research centres, universities and consumer's associations.
The activities to be developed during the conference will focus on: ,· Presentation of the energetic situation in the EU regarding Energy Saving and Efficiency.,· Exchange of 8 successful experiences of public dissemination of environmental technologies and initiatives in energy saving and efficiency at European level.,· Visit to the Energy Research Centres located in Navarra (Spain).,· Presentation of the proposal of creation of a European Network for the dissemination of technologies in light of climate change.
Registration stage will be open until 31st March.
