Joint Workshop of PAXIS Projects

Two years ago, PAXIS launched six new Projects whose role it was to develop original support models for innovative start-up creation, and to transfer their successful concepts to other regions, especially in the New Member States.
At this Joint Workshop, five of the Paxis Projects will present and discuss their results with a wider audience. In addition, a number of invited experts in the field will be talking in more general terms about specific topics related to innovation. The workshop offers technology transfer professionals, regional players and all promoters, managers and financiers of innovative start-ups a unique opportunity to become aware of the latest advances in innovation support, to discuss them with their peers and to develop new dynamic networks on an international level.

The creation of new innovative enterprises, support for spin-off companies and the development of start-ups are important priorities for the stimulation of economic growth both within the EU and worldwide. The European Commission's PAXIS programme, - Pilot Action of Excellence on Innovative Start-ups - has been running since 1999. It aims to gather and transfer new ideas and policy recommendations in this area through Thematic Networks of Excellence, Projects and Accompanying Measures.
