Scientific pan-European Collaboration in Research on Bacterial and Fungal Genome is planned for the coming year

The first multinational agreement of scientific collaboration between research-funding organizations from eight Member and Associated states of the European Union will be finalized in a meeting in Helsinki, Finland.

The first multinational agreement of scientific collaboration between research-funding organizations from eight Member and Associated states of the European Union will be finalized in a meeting in Helsinki, Finland (September 26-27, 2005). The signing organizations from Austria, Finland, France, Germany, Israel, Portugal, Slovenia and Spain are partners in "ERA-NET PathoGenoMics and have joined forces to fund multinational research projects on Global methods and genome-based approaches to study bacterial and fungal human pathogens.
ERA-NET PathoGenoMics is one of the European Research Area (ERA) networks of research-funding organizations from member and associated states of the EU which will facilitate the collaboration between the states involved to form the critical mass of research institutes and funding organization necessary to yield top-level scientific research aspiring to tackle life threatening diseases.,The partners of ERA-NET PathoGenoMics are committed to support multinational collaborative research projects aimed at investigating the genome of pathogenic bacteria and fungi. ,The first joint call resulting from the agreement will be published on December 2005 by the partner states and on the ERA-NET PathoGenoMics website (http://www.pathogenomics-era.net(se abrirá en una nueva ventana))
