Scientific Conference to examine the state of rheumatology research in Europe

The conference is organised by the European League Against Rheumatism (EULAR). It will include presentations by leading European health professionals and researchers, by representatives of the European industry, of the World Health Organisation (WHO) and of patient organisations. Further contributions would be delivered by a representative of the UK Presidency and by high-ranking Commission representatives.
The conference will address different aspects of European rheumatology research, including the current state of research in this area in Europe, the existing needs and problems, the economic and social burden of rheumatic (musculoskeletal) diseases and the place of rheumatic diseases and rheumatology research in the EU public policies.
