ICT opportunities in FP6 and FP7

A conference on current and future opportunities for the information and communication technologies (ICT) industry under the Sixth Framework Programme (FP6) and the forthcoming FP7 will take place in Brussels, Belgium, on 16 March.

The conference titled “Framework Programme 7 and how to submit and manage Framework Programme funded projects” is organized by Ernst & Young European Incentives Advisor and will be held in Brussels at the Crowne Plaza Hotel.

It will present details of current and future opportunities for the ICT industry in the context of the current (FP 6) and upcoming Framework Programmes (FP7) and also cover issues related to how to prepare and effectively manage Framework Programme projects.

Mr. Jean-Pierre Euzen and Mr. Michael Arentoft from the European Commission, and Ernst & Young's specialists will be involved in presenting material and will be available to discuss with interested participants.

A panel discussion will also be held to explore the experience with the Framework Programme of some leading organizations, and to gather their response to the latest Commission proposals on Framework Programme 7. The panel will be chaired by Mr Jean-Pierre Euzen from the European Commission and include participants from Microsoft and LogicaCMG.

The event will be financed by the European Commission through an SSA project called “IST Academies” (www.ist-academies.com) and will be free of charge.
