Brokerage event on better and safer food

A European Brokerage event targeting research institutes and companies active in the food sector will be held in Karlsruhe, Germany, on 20 October 1998. The main objective of this meeting is to discuss research issues in food, nutrition and health in the context of the upcoming Fifth RTD Framework Programme.
The event will provide a meeting place for those involved in the food sector to meet potential partners with a view to preparing a joint research proposal. Bilateral meetings will be arranged in advance by the event organisers, on the basis of profiles submitted prior to the event.
The network of European Focal Points will organise the event, with the Bureau for International Research and Technology Cooperation (BIT Austria) coordinating. The Focal Points network brings together organisations from all the EU Member States and associated countries, established in order to inform and assist SMEs participating in EU research.
