Parallel computing in electrical engineering

PARELEC'98, an international conference on parallel computing in electrical engineering, will be held in Bialystok, Poland, from 1 to 5 September 1998.

The conference will establish an international forum for the discussion and exchange of information on progress in parallel computing environments and methods and the applications of parallel computing in electrical engineering. The aim is to stimulate further basic research and applications in this field.

Topics to be addressed during the conference will include, but are not limited to, the following:

- Parallel system architecture and environments;
- Networks and heterogeneous computing;
- Models of parallel computations;
- Numerical methods for parallel processing;
- Neural networks and genetic algorithms;
- Electromagnetic field modelling;
- Transients parallel analysis;
- Parallel systems in telecommunications;
- Parallel simulation in power electronics.
