The French Institut de Recherche en Informatique et en Automatique (INRIA) will organise the fourth conference on fractals in engineering to be held in Delft, The Netherlands, from 14 to 16 June 1999. The conference will bring together researchers working in all areas of fractal analysis, encompassing both theoretical advances as well as industrial applications.

The organisers are currently inviting submissions for oral and poster presentations on the topics to be covered during the conference. These include, but are not limited to, the following:

- Dimension theory;
- Multifractal analysis;
- IFS theory;
- Harmonic analysis on fractals;
- Dynamic systems;
- Wavelet and fractals;
- Stochastic analysis on fractals;
- Signal and image processing;
- Fractal-wave interactions;
- Computer networks traffic analysis;
- Processes on fractal surfaces;
- Mechanical aspects of fractals.
