Mobile multimedia communications workshop

The fifth international workshop on mobile multimedia communications will take place in Berlin, Germany, from 12 to 14 October 1998. The workshop is organised by the IEEE Communication Society and ITG, the German information technologies society, with support from the EU's Advanced Communications Technologies and Services programme (ACTS).

The workshop will cover broadband wireless networking for data and multimedia, mobile multimedia systems and applications together with associated mobile computing terminals, video processing and software. The aim is to bring together researchers, practitioners and potential users of this emerging technology. It will target experts in multimedia systems, and mobility issues in network protocols and communication systems. It is hoped that the workshop will provide an effective forum for original and fundamental advances in mobile multimedia systems, as well as encouraging exchanges of experience between those involved in mobile multimedia communications.
