Advanced Microsystems for Automotive Applications, Berlin

The 11th International Forum (9-10 May 2007) discusses microsystems applications (MST) in automobiles which have become commonplace: they enable the introduction of a series of new functions and at the same time the replacement of existing technologies offering improved performance and better value for money.

9 May 2007 - 10 May 2007
Austria
With the introduction of microsystems a series of challenges arise regarding complexity, systems design, reliability, serviceability, etc. These challenges have to be addressed in order to meet high customer expectations concerning performance and price.

Topics of AMAA 2007 are:

- Safety: all aspects of preventive and protective safety (e.g. accident avoidance, pre- and after-crash actions, vehicle stability control)
- Powertrain: on-line measurement and control of engine and transmission subsystems (e.g. emission control, traction control)
- Comfort and HMI systems to enhance the comfort of passengers and human machine interface issues (e.g. seat, climate control, driver assistance)
- Networked Vehicle: all aspects of intra-car systems and ambient communication
- Technology related topics: sensors (e.g. pressure, harsh environment), power aspects (e.g. low power sensors, energy harvesting), managing complexity

The conference is organised by the Innovation Relay Centre Northern Germany, represented by VDI/VDE-IT. VDI/VDE Innovation + Technik GmbH (VDI/VDE-IT) is known as a reliable partner in economics, research and politics for more than 25 years. With our product lines research funding, technology politics, and innovation management, we cover the whole spectrum of the innovation process from research over implementation to market production and utilisation of new technologies.
