The third annual event for knowledge practitioners will be held in London, UK, on 5 and 6 November 1998. The aim of the event is to provide a high-level, authoritative review of the impact knowledge initiatives have had on leading organisations, and also to anticipate the next wave of developments in this field.

The event will provide participants with the opportunity to be updated on recent developments in knowledge practice. Key features will include a presentation and expert panel review of key trends shaping the direction of knowledge management practices. In addition, the issues of developing trade knowledge assets and the recently launched virtual knowledge university will also be discussed. A workshop on integrating knowledge management into organisations will also be open to all participants.

Examples of the topics to be discussed in detail during the conference include:

- Applying knowledge to transform business practice;
- Achieving the cultural change necessary to manage corporate knowledge;
- A digital market for tradeable knowledge;
- Developing an organisational structure to support knowledge sharing;
- A framework for assessing and selecting knowledge tools.
