A training course on "Food processing: Technological, nutritional and safety aspects" will be held in Molina de Segura, Spain, from 23 to 27 November 1998. This will be the first of a series of five training courses supported within the EU's Leonardo da Vinci action programme for the implementation of a European Community vocational training policy.

The aim of the course is to disseminate knowledge on food science and the latest technologies in the fruit and vegetable canning industry. The course will include the presentation of the latest technologies and research in the field by a range of academics and industrialists from all over Europe. It will be aimed primarily at technicians from SMEs, however, young professionals educated to university level will also be welcomed.
