FP7 event in Crete

An information day on the 7th Framework Programme (FP7) will take place in Crete, Chania on 21 September 2007. The event is organised by the Technical University of Crete, the University of Crete, the Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Chania and the National Documentation Centre (EKT).
Officials from the European Commission will deliver presentations on the following programmes:
- Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) programme
- Socioeconomic Sciences and the Humanities (SSH) programme
- Specific Programme “Ideas”
- Regions of knowledge and Research Potential (Regional) programmes.
The speakers include the European Commission's Dr K. Glinos, Head of Embedded Systems Unit, DG Information Society and Media and Dr Dimitris Corpakis, Head of Unit for Horizontal Aspects and Coordination, DG Research.
A specific session on 'how to write a proposal' will follow the information day.
