3rd European Construction Technology Platform (ECTP) conference – Amsterdam 19/20 November 2007
After having defined the ECTP "Vision 2030" for the future and the ECTP Strategic Research Agenda (SRA) focusing on goals and research areas, the next logical step was to explain how exactly the research themes defined in this SRA should be implemented in the coming years and to describe how ECTP and its stakeholders would facilitate this process, and which parties to involve. Therefore, the Implementation Action Plan (IAP) focuses on activities and actions.
The IAP of the ECTP SRA is based on a selection of the most important and urgent research areas of the SRA which should be strategically dealt with in the period 2007-2013. The ECTP has now jumped into the implementation stage of these 9 well agreed priorities.
This 3rd Conference will give the opportunity to all stakeholders of the Construction Sector willing to contribute through Research and Innovation activities to build up projects in view of the 7th EC Framework Programme as well as for trans-national programmes.
Aims of the conference:
• To promote research proposals for 7th Framework Programme and EurekaBuild (EUREKA umbrella on construction)
• To raise interest of stakeholders on new strategies on research and innovation in the Construction sector
• To build synergies within the network of around 25 national Construction Technology Platforms animated by the ECTP
• To learn about some world-wide related initiatives
• To implement the ECTP Implementation Action Plan
• To present ECTP activities and result
Different parallel sessions will enable attendants to present and discuss their ideas of projects to be proposed to the second call of the 7th Framework Programme (on: energy, environment, information and communication technologies, infrastructures, SMEs, cultural heritage, materials, …) and also to promote ideas and find potential partners for trans-national programs (EurekaBuild).
