Europartenariat Austria'99

Europartenariat Austria'99 will be hosted in Vienna, Austria, on 10 and 11 May 1999. The event will be organised within the EU's Europartenariat programme to stimulate and promote cooperation agreements between enterprises in less developed or declining industrial regions in other Member States.

The event will involve a total of 457 host companies in the following sectors:

- Plants, machinery and construction equipment;
- Building materials, construction works and services;
- Chemicals, synthetic materials and glass;
- Electrical appliances and electronics;
- Vehicles, transportation and conveyor systems;
- Timber, paper and printing industry;
- Metal processing;
- Furniture, decorative arts, domestic appliances, sport;
- Food and beverages;
- Pharmaceutical and health products, cosmetics;
- Textiles, leather and clothing industry;
- Software, logistics, consulting, design;
- Environment, ecotechnologies, engineering.

In connection with the event, a PHARE-Partenariat will also take place for the first time. This will involve a total of 120 firms from Bulgaria, Romania, Slovenia, Slovakia, Hungary and the Czech Republic, who will participate as host companies. Participating companies will have the opportunity to meet with host companies on the basis of a catalogue which will be circulated prior to the event. A number of business meetings with their choice of host company will then be arranged.
