Czech Awards for Young Europeans - Innovating Minds
1) ICT
The award shall be given for a project, discovery or other endeavour developed or carried out in the field of information and communication technology, taking into account the perspectives of its practical use
2) Health and Quality of Life
The award shall be given for a project, discovery or other endeavour developed or carried out in any field, as long as its results aim at improving health and/or the quality of human life
3) Environment
The award shall be given to a scientific or technology project, discovery or other endeavour aiming at protecting and/or improving environment or at saving energy, taking into account the perspectives of its practical use
4) Product and Technology Innovation
The award shall be given for an innovative approach, professional activity or project in the field of technology, taking into account the perspectives of its practical use
5) Design and Architecture
The award shall be given for a project drawn up or implemented in the field of design or architecture
Each category winner will be awarded EUR 5,000. The winners will be chosen by an international jury composed of a Chairman and 8 other members, among other Nobel Prizes Prof. Richard R. Ernst and Prof. R. Timothy Hunt. The award ceremony will be held in Prague, Czech Republic in October 2008.
To enter, all you need to do is to fill-in the entry form onto the website - www.innovatingminds.eu - and upload a synopsis of the project and a professional review of the project. The submitted project synopsis, beginning with an abstract, the abstract must not contain more than 1,000 characters. The total length of the synopsis must not exceed 10,000 characters. The above limits do not include photos, graphs and other visualizations included in the synopsis.
The submission deadline is 10 September 2008.
