Aerospace Business Convention 2008, Turin

The two days event (19-20 March) has two main objectives: on the one side boosting technology exchange in the aerospace sector and on the other side facilitating the joint participation to the European R&D projects.

For the first time in Italy the Aeronautics and Space will be protagonist of a major event, fully dedicated to match making expertise in the industrial sector, to reinforce business opportunities between major Prime and SMEs and to analyze aeronautics challenges for the future.
The Aerospace Convention will take place on the 19th and 20th of March 2008 at the Lingotto Oval in Turin.

For two days companies and subcontractors will have several opportunities to meet together, following an agenda for bilateral meetings. Research centers and Universities will have stands available where exhibit excellence in research projects and where disseminate achieved results.

On the 20th of March a free of charge high level conference will take place to discuss on virtual design and virtual testing. Industries will present their vision on process and methodologies, multidisciplinary and multiculturalism, certification issues.

For Turin and Piedmont this is a crucial appointment to fully contribute to the development of a strategic sector for Europe as well as to promote the around 400 companies located in the region.

The organizers have registered so far 247 organizations from 21 countries: business sector, research centers, clusters, chambers of commerce and business facilitators, regional and national development agencies representing Europe but also Canada China, India, Mexico, Morocco, Russia, Ukraine, United States, and Tunisia.

The Aerospace Convention is organized by a pull of regional stakeholders in cooperation with BCI, a French company specialized in event organization managing the secretariat, and with the support of the EU Commission, the Italian Ministry of Economics, the regional and local authorities.
