EuroBioForum Conference

The EuroBioForum Conference will be held on the 17-19 September 2008 in Strasbourg, France.

Organised by the European Science Foundation and the European Commission and an official event of the French Presidency of the European Union, EuroBioForum 2008 promises to be an exciting and stimulating two day event.

The aim of EuroBioForum is to bring together leaders from science, public funding organisations, industry and foundations to engage in the development of strategic European Research Programmes.

There will be six workshops dedicated to a range of life sciences topics: molecular biology of survival, generating tools for human proteome analysis, DNA barcoding for biodiversity, the human metagenome, human genome profiles in disease and using bacteria for renewable energy production.

There will also be a high-profile roundtable discussion on "Opportunities and challenges for joint programmes in Europe", which will include Dr. Patrick Chaussepied from the National Research Agency [ANR], France and Mr. Volker Rieke from the Federal Ministry of Education and Research, Germany.
