Tenth symposium on laser techniques to fluid mechanics
The 10th international symposium on "Applications of Laser Techniques to Fluid Mechanics" is taking place in Lisbon on 10-13 July 2000.
The Symposium will present new research on advanced techniques for flow measurement and results of significance to fluid mechanics. It will emphasise the application of laser, and other advanced techniques to scientific and engineering investigations of fluid flow.
The event will also involve technical presentations and structured discussions. Invited lectures on specialist topics will provide personal impressions of measurement needs for 2000 and beyond.
Forty formal sessions are planned, based on contributed papers are welcome in areas such as laser-doppler velocimetry signal and data processing, multi-point methods, aerodynamic flows, free surface flows and turbomachinery. All accepted papers will be incorporated in a Proceedings Volume, which will be available at the time of the symposium.
