International assembly covers Pick's disease and frontotemporal dementias
The first international assembly of scientific and medical professionals and caregivers interested in Pick's disease and frontotemporal dementia will be held in Philadelphia, USA, on 6 to 7 May 1999.
The conference will cover topics of interest to the European Commission's policy of support for representative co-ordination organisations active in the field of equal opportunities for disabled people.
The themes to be addressed include clinical assessment, molecular biology, histopathological abnormalities, therapy and management, and caregiver issues.
A number of plenary and keynote speakers from around the world will give presentations at the conference, which is being organised by the Alzheimer's Association South Eastern Pennsylvania chapter, and Friends Hospital.
