Anyone interested in keeping up to date with latest developments and technological trends in Electronic Health Care Records or wanting to know what is happening within this field in other parts of Europe could find out at "Eurorec" - the third European Conference on Health Care Records. The event, which is supported by the European Commission's Telematics Application Programme, will take place in Seville, Spain, on 6 and 7 May 1999.

The objective is to offer an open forum to various actors involved in the Electronic Health Care Records domain from where exchanging experiences and acquiring knowledge of the local and European policies in the field, the advancements attained by standardisation bodies, the technological and market trends, facilitating contacts among users-providers and therefore progressing towards the convergence in the use of Electronic Health Care Records.

According to the organisers, the content of the conference programme is "actor-orientated", which means it will approach themes from three points of view -political, industrial and user.

Anyone wishing to make an oral presentation, give a demonstration or provide poster during the conference should submit an abstract before 28 February 1999. All plenary sessions and accepted papers will be published in the Conference Proceedings Book that will be included in the conference handout material.
