Marie Curie Initial Training Networks: General Information and Proposal Writing

The UK Research Office – in its capacity as UK National Contact Point for the Marie Curie Actions, is holding a series of proposal writing events on Marie Curie InitialTraining Networks for UK-based applicants.

23 September 2009 - 2 October 2009
United Kingdom
The aim of the session is to provide participants with an overview of the Marie Curie Initial Training Networks (ITNs), and with a deeper understanding of the proposal format and the key issues they are required to address in planning and writing their proposal.

Who should attend?

The sessions will be of particular interest to UK-based researchers who are interested in and/or are planning to submit a proposal to the Marie Curie ITNs call, which is opens on 2 September and closes on 22 December.

The session will include a presentation on the ITN scheme, highlighting changes that have occurred since the 2008 call. It is also hoped that the session will provide a forum for discussion, and to answer questions that applicants may have relating to ITNs and preparing a proposal.

Programme outline

As these sessions are focused on one action, the ITNs, they will only last half a day. Each session will provide an outline of the Marie Curie Actions, specific details on the ITN action and the application form and guidance on planning and writing your Marie Curie proposal. There will be the opportunity to ask questions throughout the sessions.

Where and when?

The following events are planned for late September and early October 2009.

Registration on the day will start at 9.30 and the actual session will start at 10:00 and close at 12:30. The agenda for each session will be available closer to the time of the event, and will also be sent to registered participants via email.
