The International Online Information Meeting (IOLIM/CD-Rom '92) takes place in Olympia 2, London, on 8-10 December 1992. It provides 3 full days of conference sessions, technical tutorials, exhibition, product reviews, National Forum language sessions, plus two extra days of satellite events.
Among the sessions this year are: Exploring electronic communications; information processing; hyper-multimedia developments; CD-ROM networking and use; library automation; information systems and technologies; and document management. Technical tutorials will take place on how to identify a good CD-ROM software, how to evaluate CD-ROM databases, and on accessing network services.
CORDIS staff will be present at the three-day event and will demonstrate the online CORDIS databases and the new CORDIS CD-ROM. This CD-ROM database, to be shown for the first time at ONLINE, contains complete data from all the CORDIS databases and has been designed as an alternative to the online service. It will benefit users who either have difficulties with direct access or prefer to consult the database at leisure using a PC.
