Week of Innovative Regions in Europe (WIRE2010), Granada
- Conference on the efficient and effective use of budget earmarked in the Structural Funds for RTD and Innovation (SF), including their synergies with the Framework Programme for RTD (FP) and the Competitiveness and Innovation Programme (CIP).
- “Research Potential” conference, which focuses on the assessment of the results and the identification of best practices of the Research Potential (REGPOT) calls within the FP7 Capacities Programme, aimed at the increase of the research capabilities of the best research centres of the European regions, dedicated to Convergence and Outermost regions.
- “Regions of Knowledge” conference, which deals with the assessment of the results and the identification of best practices of Regions of Knowledge (REGIONS) calls within the FP7 Capacities Programme, aimed at fostering regional cooperation through ‘research-driven clusters’ by a comparison of the different regional strategies and a definition of joint action plans.
The Conference will take place over three days, with the following structure:
- 1st Day: From “synergies of policies” to “synergies of actions”. The political view and the actors’ perspective.
- 2nd Day: Parallel sessions on REGPOT and REGIONS programmes (within FP), with practical cases presentations and round tables.
- 3rd Day: Discussion on good practices and identification of possible synergies between CIP and SF. Discussion and approval of a conclusive document and recommendations.
