THE WORKSHOPS
The EU-funded project ICT-WEB-PROMS is organising two thematic workshops on 10 May 2010 in Skopje, Macedonia, for the themes “ICT for Health in the Western Balkan countries and the EU” (morning session) and “Network and Service Infrastructures – the future Internet” (afternoon session).
On the day after, 11 May, a follow up workshop will explain all procedural, administrative and financial aspects of participation in FP7/ICT (please see www.ict-web-proms.eu/FP7_ICT_Workshops for further information).
THE PROGRAMME
This one-day event addresses stakeholders from the Western Balkan countries (WBC). It intends to provide an overview of research excellence in the area of eHealth and Network & Service Infrastructures in the WBC and information regarding possibilities of participating in EU-funded related projects. Participants will:
• Be informed on the status quo of research in the WBC and in the EU and roadmaps for the future
• Receive guidance regarding the European Commission’s programmes related to ICT for Health and Network & Service Infrastructures
• Receive information about the current participation of the WBC in EU projects
• Benefit from the presentation of best practices and EU project experiences
• Present their own best practices in the field of ICT for Health and Network & Service Infrastructures

THE ORGANISERS
The project ICT-WEB-PROMS “Promoting ICT cooperation opportunities and policy dialogue with the Western Balkan Countries” is a EU-funded Specific Support Action aimed at enhancing scientific and research cooperation between the Western Balkan region and the EU, specifically in the theme of Information & Communication Technologies (ICT).

Participation is free of charge, but advance registration for the workshops is requested.
