Enea and Innova are organising the European Workshop on Best Practices in OMI (Open Microprocessor systems Initiative) and new opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the Fifth Framework Programme. The event will be held in Rome on 23 March 1999 within the Esprit Project Diaspora (ESP number 29258 - Disseminating Information while Assisting SMEs' Best Practices in OMI and Raising Awareness).

The Workshop objectives are:

- To foster the awareness of SMEs in OMI Best Practices, presenting real-life examples of how SMEs have functioned in European Union-funded projects;
- To disseminate and prepare SMEs for the start-up of the Fifth Framework Programme.
