2010 PARADISO Workshop - “Understanding the interaction between Internet and societal developments”

The 2010 PARADISO workshop will be held at the European Commission, in Brussels, on November 23.

23 November 2010 - 23 November 2010
France
It is organised in continuity with the PARADISO workshop of June 2008 and the PARADISO conference of 2009, providing PARADISO stakeholders with a new opportunity to interact with individuals and organisations from all over the world.

The theme of the 2010 PARADISO workshop is “Understanding the interaction between Internet and societal developments”. It will include three plenary sessions:
“Exploring the future of our societies”,
“Exploring the Future Internet”, and
“How could the Future Internet be better suited to our future?”

During this last session, the PARADISO partnership will present, and open to discussion, a draft version of their PARADISO reference document, to be released in December 2010, on the basis of which recommendations to the European Commission concerning research to be developed in the framework of EU-funded programmes will be derived.

Keynote speakers from Europe and the rest of the world will contribute to the workshop.

Registration for the PARADISO workshop is free of charge but compulsory and has to be made online. Due to the limited capacity of the venue, it is recommended to register as soon as possible. Applications will be handled on a first come, first served basis.
