Workshop on Financial Management of FP7 CAPACITIES and CIP projects in Milan - Italy

This two-day in-depth training course is designed to provide an overview of the main features of the FP7 CAPACITIES specific funding programme and of the COMPETITIVENESS AND INNOVATION FRAMEWORK PROGRAMME (CIP), focusing on financial management and financial reporting, thus providing participants with the knowledge required to interpret and implement FP7 and CIP financial regulations.

The course foresees specific sessions devoted to the analysis of case studies and practical examples and to the discussion of problematic situations deriving from the participants’ direct experiences.

The workshop will be held in Milan, on the 2nd-3rd February 2011 and in Italian.

The following topics will be covered:

DAY ONE (FP7 CAPACITIES SPECIFIC PROGRAMME)
– Main features of the specific programme CAPACITIES and its seven areas of intervention
– Consortium Agreement and Intellectual Property Rights
– Funding Schemes
– Direct costs: personnel, consumables, durables, subsistence costs and other direct costs; subcontracts; costs of third parties;
– Indirect costs and eligible methods of calculation
– Ineligible costs
– Certification requirements: procedures and required supporting documents
– How to determine the budget for PMI and RTD performers

DAY TWO (COMPETITIVENESS AND INNOVATION FRAMEWORK PROGRAMME – CIP)

– Main features of the CIP programme and its three operational programmes (Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme – EIP; Information Communication Technologies Policy Support Programme – ICT-PSP; Intelligent Energy Europe Programme – IEE)
– General financial provisions
– Funding Schemes
– Direct costs: personnel, consumables, durables, subsistence costs and other direct costs; subcontracts; costs of third parties
– Indirect costs and ineligible costs.

The course is targeted to specifically address the needs of professionals and project managers involved in the management of FP7 projects, both in the private and public sector. The course can be an effective tool for helping participants to effectively manage projects and to further develop their internal management strategies. It can also provide a good opportunity to network and to share good practices.THE COURSE WILL BE HELD IN ITALIAN.
