Marking World Water Day with Focus on Innovation Partnerships in Amsterdam, Netherlands
This focus on water issues is not new for SusChem. For the last few years, SusChem has been working closely with the Water Sanitation and Supply Technology Platform (WSSTP) to develop breakthrough technologies and a paradigm shift in integrated water management systems. Both platforms have taken the initiative to revalue water as a precious raw material rather than a utility product. It is time to rethink the traditional approach in order to avoid future competition for water supply between industry and citizens in urban areas.
Providing more efficient and ecologically sound water management systems is a prominent theme for the European Union’s 2020 Agenda for smart, sustainable and inclusive growth. SusChem is determined to show leadership and to make a significant contribution in this area by working with partners to pursue large-scale projects which can demonstrate real value for society.
