ETICA stands for "Ethical Issues of Emerging ICT Applications". It is a project funded by the European Commission under the 7th framework programme. ETICA's main objective has been to identify ethical issues of emerging technologies.

We are pleased to announce our latest and final event which ETICA is collaborating with the Science and Technology Options Assessment (STOA) group of the European Parliament.

The ‘IT for a Better Future’ Workshop will take place on Thursday 31st March 2011 at the European Parliament, Room ASP A5E-2, between 09:00-14:00. The Workshop will be chaired by Dr Malcolm Harbour (MEP, Vice President for STOA).

ETICA will present its findings to a cross-section of stakeholders who will include: Policy-makers, ICT Industry developers, Researchers interested in ethics and emerging technologies and Technology Ethics Reviewers.
